What is DevOps?

DevOps is the continuous delivery of prioritised value to an organisation. For more click here.

Last month (Jan 22) the DevOps Institute kindly invited me to discuss the topic of silo’s and their negative impact on building high quality software.

Jason Baum has interesting ideas and questions on this topic, especially as remote working becomes pervasive. We divert into the Metaverse and topics as wide ranging as the Wright Brothers and Coach Bill Belicheck to better explain some concepts.

The resulting podcast is a useful primer for people who want to understand more about why delivery teams are the antithesis of a silo’ed approach to work. We discuss self managing and empowered collaborative teams who release code into production 1FaaT (one feature at a time) and carefully measure feedback for value. Its a 42 min listen.
