We’ve been using Agile Project Management and software development methodologies for a number of years. We use it for internal projects as well as projects with customers. Our customer projects are usually the most challenging since we often have a geographically distributed development team. Typically the team is split between Ireland and mainland Europe.
The geographical distribution presents its challenges for Agile Project Management. The high degree of communication and collaboration that is typical of successful Agile teams is much easier face-to-face or at least when the teams are co-located for periods of the project.
We’ve put together some of our observations in a short presentation.
